Role overview
Join us as a Business Development Lead, driving growth and elevating Model Health’s commercial success. You will build and execute our go-to-market (GTM) strategy to secure our first 100 paying users and solidify our presence in the industry.
You'll lead demand generation, create new pipelines, refine sales processes, and enhance customer retention. Your efforts will foster cross-functional collaboration to help integrate customer insights into product development.
This is a hands-on leadership position, ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic startup environment, combines strategic vision with strong execution, and is passionate about improving human performance and physical health.
What you’ll do
- GTM strategy: Own and continuously improve the GTM strategy, including positioning, pricing, and growth levers.
- Demand Generation: Lead execution of the GTM strategy and drive pipeline creation, including social media presence, in close collaboration with our external BD partner.
- Sales Execution & Enablement: Manage sales processes and playbooks, and will soon oversee team enablement.
- Retention & Expansion: Focus on the post-sale experience to maximize customer retention and drive growth.
- Org leadership and product feedback loops: Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to integrate customer feedback.
- Team growth: Expand the Business Development team, including Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success roles.
Who you are
- Minimum 5 years of experience driving growth for digital products, ideally across the full funnel from awareness to retention, with a proven track record of delivering measurable results.
- Strategic operator with experience shaping and executing GTM strategies, including positioning, pricing, and identifying scalable growth levers.
- Previous leadership experience managing, growing, and inspiring teams of 3+, with a track record of building high-performing sales, marketing, or customer success functions.
- Hands-on experience in demand generation and sales enablement, from running targeted campaigns to implementing sales processes and playbooks.
- Skilled at customer lifecycle management: you know how to maximize retention, upsell, and expansion opportunities while building long-term relationships.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to act as the bridge between Product, Engineering, and commercial teams, ensuring market feedback loops are captured and acted on.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: thrives in fast-paced, resource-constrained environments and is comfortable balancing strategy with roll-up-your-sleeves execution.
- Experience in the health, sports, or physical therapy industries is a strong plus.
